Episode 19: Rude Runners, Brooklyn Gets Some Respect, NYC Marathon Splits: Negative vs. Positive
February 21, 2011
Listen to Episode 19
Episode 19 was themeless. Steve, Brenn, and Joe had a “discussion” about rude runners. Just when is it OK to stand on a roadway? We talked about NYPD’s crackdown on cyclists in Central Park, the topic of a blog post from Joe.
Steve reviewed happenings in Prospect Park, particularly the Cherry Tree 10-miler, which was held Sunday morning. This led to a conversation about the large Brooklyn running clubs and running at the Park Slope Armory Y.
Brenn had some interesting, and useful, data on negative splitting the NYC Marathon, or more precisely lower positive splitting. It’s the subject of his most recent podcast.
